Youth Altitude!!! =D

My church hosts an event once a month called Altitude, which is basically this night full of worship and devotionals.

About two years ago the youth took it over and it was fantastic! We did the songs, the teaching and extra little duets!
Youth Altitude 2008 was talked about for lonnnnggg time afterwards it was that good!

So on Sunday i found myself taking to the stage with the youth again, and...
IT WAS AWESOME!!!!
I was actually sat in the congregation crying my eyes out when i heard my lovely youth being so bold and saying what God has done for them!

The theme of the night was prayer and how prayer had inspired them to do certain things.
Faith was definitely such and inspiration to me she not only shared her testimony about how God told her to do this song in front of her friends at school, but not just any song! One she would she write by herself later. Following her testimony she bravely got up and performed the song. and i was with her before the service and she was really nervous! But yet she still got up there and was truly outstanding! Such an anointing she has!

Each member of the youth shared a fantastic testimony that reduced many people to tears. I got told i was like a proud mum and i simply replied i am! haha - just to point out i do not have any children, i meant spritually! haha

If you would like to check Youth Altitude you can at http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/8074899

It was truly amazing!! =D

A Spring Cleaning - even though spring was months ago!

Just as the title would suggest i am doing a spring cleaning!

BUT not the kind of spring cleaning you do in your house, I'm talking about a spring cleaning of myself.
Now i Know that sounds incredibly cheesy but i do believe it needs to be done once in a while!

To me a spring cleaning includes things such as Relationship with God, Job, friends, family and just how you see things generally.

Recently i've not felt up to standard in work as i just keep messing up! So i need to find a way to overcome that.

Also there are two what you may like to call thorns in my side, that no matter what i try to be nice to the people, it makes absolutely no difference.
But on Monday I was walking home from work and I was just letting my mind wander! and suddenly I just thought 'you reap what you sow' so no matter what these people do they will reap it. And if I just try to be gracious and be myself around the people I'm not at fault because I have tried my best.

Later that day I read a book that I read a while ago called 'What Jane Austen Taught Me About Love and Romance' and it was a chapter on 'Love is kind', 'Fanny Price and the queen of mean.'
and it basically provides an depth look in 5 pages insight into 'Mansfield Park' and how 'Fanny Price' deals with Her horrible 'Aunt Norris' with kindness. And it truly is admirable, and I wonder if I can ever amount to that amount of kindness. I hope that I can.

I am hoping to do a blog at the end of each chapter as a kind of case study.
Blog sooonnn!!! =D xxxxxxx
